Job Summary:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of General Engineering Supervisor at South Deep, Carletonville. The successful candidate will report to the Client’s Section Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
• The safety and health for all employees under his/her area of responsibility
• Ensuring that underground working conditions are maintained to a high and acceptable standard
• Building a strong motivated team
• Supporting the overall business management of the site
• Achieving, and where possible, exceeding monthly production targets

Key Requirements:
• Extensive experience as a GES in a mining environment
• Previous hydraulics, drill rig and general experience
• Previous managerial or supervisory experience
• Shaft sinking experience
• Atlas Copco Trackless Fleet experience and added advantage
• Good communication skills in English and at least one of the other official languages

Education:
• Matric certificate
• Qualified Artisan (Fitter / Electrical)
