Job Title: Segment Manager, Middle Market (Standard Bank of South Africa)

Salary: R300,000-600,000 Per Annum CTC

Job purpose:
To achieve targeted growth and optimise profitability of the Middle Market segment (income range R8-25k pm) through acquisition, expansion and retention of these customers, thereby optimising profitability through value creation, differentiated offerings and process efficiency.
To be the custodian of the applicable sub-segments (Households and Established Singles) within Middle Market, being the point of reference (SME) for the organisation.
To be the thought leader in managing the current propositions for the Middle Market segment for Standard Bank
Support and stand in for the Head, Middle Market as required

Optimisation of the Middle Market portfolio

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Ability:
promote and cross-market the bank to clients and recommend appropriate experts when necessary

Experience:
Project management experience
2 years exposure to customer strategy and segmentation development
Minimum 5 years retail banking experience
Cross-functional team management experience

Knowledge:
competitor offerings and structures
Good knowledge of all personal markets products
Good understanding by sub-segment of market size, growth potential, market share, customer needs and profitability within the South African context.
Good understanding of bank operations and processes.
