Information Officer - South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Cape Town

Job Title: Information Officer

Salary: R252 144 - R304 587 p.a. exclusive of benefits

Western Cape Regional Office - Cape Town (Ref No.: SAS 13/354)

Requirements:
Candidates should hold a relevant B Degree and/or 3 year tertiary qualification in the relevant field coupled with 2-3 years supervisory experience in the information management environment
Knowledge of PAIA and experience in any of the following systems would be advantageous: SOCPEN, ECM, ERP, data warehousing, Bl (Business Intelligence)
Ability to attract information from the Net, Loading of Information
Knowledge of SABINET system and tracking system will prove useful
Computer literacy and a valid driver's licence are essential.

Duties :
The incumbent will track all the information resources in the Region and ensure that the tracking system is up and running; Ensure that the sourcing procedures are in place
The operational planning and work organisation of the section is up to date and in order
Assess the accuracy and relevancy of the information and its suitable to the target audience
Assist in the dissemination of information of SASSA
Ensure the day to day management of the Regional portal.
