Position Summary:

Operate master control equipment and monitor video/audio quality with high reliability for multiple network services for 24/7 broadcast facility. Perform checks of Traffic-generated broadcast log and automation playlist. Provide documentation of abnormal operational occurrences and/or on-air discrepancies. Work on special projects, as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor video/audio, ensuring overall quality and content of all scheduled elements.

2. Verify accuracy and on-air readiness of scheduled material via checks of Traffic log and automation playlist. Notify appropriate personnel of any discrepancies regarding said material prior to air.

3. Operation of broadcast automation systems and related equipment, such as PROBEL automation and OMNEON Video Servers.

4. Manually operate on-air equipment with the same reliability of automation systems during high-pressure situations such as human and equipment error, recovering air in shortest time possible.

5. Create accurate and detailed reports (Discrepancy Database System-DDS) of on-air discrepancies.

6. Provide proper notations of changes on Traffic logs.

7. Knowledge of and adherence to department Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.

Requirements:

*Minimum two years’ experience in a broadcast master control environment or related broadcast environment. *Operational knowledge of automation systems and related equipment, including but not limited to SNELL Morpheus automation system, and OMNEON Video Servers. *Must be technically literate with a solid understanding of video/audio theory and the ability to read scopes and monitoring equipment. *Must possess the ability to perform multiple tasks and monitor several different feeds. *Must have strong communication skills, be a self-starter, well-organized and detail-oriented. *Display professionalism in all interactions with peers, management and other DCI staff at all times. *Must be willing to work various hours, weekends and holidays. *Working knowledge of MS Windows operating environments. *Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Radio/TV/Film or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience. *Familiarity or fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.

*Must have the legal right to work in the US.
