Purpose of the Role:
To understand the local market in order to maximise acquisition opportunities.
To proactively acquire new risk groups within the Business and Mid-corporate segment.
To ensure optimal product penetration on acquisition of all risk groups.
To ensure effective on-boarding and handover to Account Executives of all new risk groups
Key Result Area's:
Drive Transaction Led Customer Acquisition:
Ensures the implementation of the acquisition sales strategy to enable and achieve the required growth within this Segment
Ensures a good understanding of the Local Market and business opportunities within the Local Market
Utilises business intelligence to effectively plans activity around leads provided and targeted opportunities to ensure that all customer interactions are professional and value adding.
Responsible for driving personal/business interplay in partnership with Private and other Personal Market segments.
Archives sales budgets as set by the Business Centre.
Implements sales best practices in support of the Business Banking value proposition and customer expectations.
Facilitates completion of value-chain analysis on new Risk Group Acquisitions to ensure a better understanding of sales opportunities within the client base.
Provides guidance pertaining to the promotion, selling and structuring of a wide and diverse range of financial solutions customised to best meet the financial needs of the Business Banking Clients.
Supports the provincial and national sales campaigns.
Ensures the implementation of the Black Small and Medium Enterprises (BSME) value proposition.
Customer Experience:
Ensures that customer service expectations are met/exceeded.
Ensures effective query management and client feedback.
Monitors and manages (in collaboration with internal business partners) the delivery of service in line with service level agreements, standards and turnaround times within the Centre.
Ensures the implementation of the Business Banking Value proposition.
Encourages strong relationships with relevant stakeholder's e.g. Credit, Operational Shared Services (OSS) and other relevant business partners, to ensure that the customer service expectations are fully met.
Ensures an efficient on boarding experience for the customer, and provides a warm handover of the new Risk Group to the relevant Account Executive.
Economic Growth:
Achievement of financial budgets through acquisition of quality business
Manages profit margins through appropriate pricing within policy guidelines. Recommends pricing concessions where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Experience:
business management or account management in business banking
preparing and motivating Credit applications
Knowledge:
Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act
general banking products practices and procedures
credit principles and practices, including an understanding of credit application, securities and balance sheet requirements
terms and conditions of multiple legal entities (companies, close corporations, sole proprietorships etc.) in the commercial market
competitor offerings and structures
multi-level products available to business banking customers (features and benefits) and pricing structures
financial spreadsheet applications
administration processes and procedures pertaining to Business Banking transactions
different industry sectors and sector risk profiles/ trends
financial investment options, vehicle and asset finance and electronic banking options for lead generation purposes
