Job Purpose:
To research, develop and manage the product offering and performance of the personal transaction products (PTP) portfolio. Accountable for delivering sustainable economic profit at income statement level for Personal Current Accounts
understanding processes in detail in order to aid delivery of defined business objectives
The product scope includes managing Achiever, Achiever Go, Classic Transaction Account (CTA), Classic cheque account, Elite, Prestige and Private banking and Private clients as well as the implementation of new acquisition, retention and upgrading initiatives.
Develop and implement a strategic (three year) Personal Current accounts business plan, including defining the product continuum, formulating annual budgets/periodic forecasting of sales and financial targets.
Manage day to day function of the personal transaction products team
Provide leadership and direction to Personal Current Accounts team, including growing subordinates
Setting of appropriate Personal Current Accounts pricing to support alignment of pricing across products in line with the group pricing guidelines.
Grow balances, Net Interest Income and Non-Interest Revenue for Personal Current Accounts Products through identifying projects and initiatives which will assist to achieve agreed targets
Assist with achieving the agreed sales, dormancy, closure and migration targets through tactical initiatives such as direct marketing campaigns.
Develop and implement product propositions that are aligned to customer propositions
Manage the product life cycle including, take-on, mix, and profitability
Grow the Personal Current Accounts portfolio profitability through successful development and implementation of short and long term tactics, including customer acquisition, cross selling, migration, retention and strategic pricing initiatives.
Develop and implement new innovative products, which will have to be approved before implementation, product enhancements and recommend efficient and effective business processes to support the product strategy.
Define products selling model in conjunction with distribution network team, through branch and web channels as well as mobile sales unit.
Influence the development & production of internal/external customer communication such as procedural manuals, network and Head Office communications, brochures and marketing material.

Maintain solid relationships with matrix partners to ensure smooth delivery of stated business objectives and projects.
Analyse and report on competitor activities as related to the portfolio.
