Purpose of Job:
To manage all projects across SET and to ensure that the planning, executing and finalising of the relevant projects according to deadlines and within budget.
To ensure that the stated Business needs of the implemented projects are realised.
To identify and understand the business requirements by defining the business rules, project initiation documentation and implementation thereof in the application system development and/or various projects.
To manage the operational areas of SET by providing a central coordinating role for its interaction with the Group Enabling Functions.
To facilitate and/or drive, as appropriate, operational change in order to improve process efficiencies.
To continuously support the business environment and the Senior Manager: Systems & Operations by maintaining an understanding of the enterprise business initiatives
Key Result Areas:
Cost management
Focuses on tactical initiatives to influence a continual improvement in the cost/revenue ratio and thereby sustain long term profit growth.
Meets budgets goals by controlling costs for equipment and projects.
Champions idea generation that influences reductions in operating costs.
Achieves targeted results in terms of workload and costs, as well as improving efficiency, effectiveness and service quality aspects.
Infrastructure support
Implements and uses management information systems relative to benchmarking.
Facilitates the provision of a well managed system that will enable high levels of service, systems and equipment infrastructure within SET to allow flexibility in meeting business and customer service needs cost effectively.
Appropriately document and manage relationships with internal and external service providers and ensure project timeline management and quality of service delivery.
Project management
Directs and manages project development from beginning to end (scope, goals, and deliverables).
Acts as subject matter expert on management tools where necessary.
Manages key stakeholder relationships as it relates to projects and the impacts.
Decides, agrees and clarifies the objectives and boundaries upfront.
Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate engagement with Project team
Tracks project milestones and deliverables in accordance to business needs and in line with agreed standards.
Represents SET in key project decisions, handles politically sensitive subjects and critical decision points.
Ensures that the stated Business needs of the implemented special projects are realised.
Participate visibly and actively throughout the project.
Work with senior management team on initiatives to support new business growth.
Ensures that all stakeholders (operations, project team, change management etc understand the critical business issues and opportunities
Be an active and visible spokes person for the change.
Attend project related meetings.
Attend status meetings.
Responsible for quality assurance process of all projects
Qualifications:
3 Year Degree or Equivalent
Experience:
System design and implementation
Business requirements specification and analysis
3-5 Project Management experience
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Ability:
develop new customer relationships by building a referral network
manage customer relationships to ensure continued customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty
manage the pro-active and reactive selling of product
negotiate and analyse clients' needs to identify the best package of full financial services
pro-actively and reactively sell product
Risk/compliance management principles and practices
Experience in the financial advisory and/or investment/insurance broking industry
Are you peruasive: enjoy selling and a good negotiator
Experience:
