Water Services Planning Manager - Chris Hani District Municipality in Eastern Cape


Job Title: Water Services Section: Water Services Planning Manager

[POST LEVEL 03: TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE R528 147.95 PER ANNUM]

Minimum requirements:
Appropriate BSc in Civil Engineering or B-Tech Civil Engineering (Specializing in Water) or related degree in the field at NQF level 6
At least S -7 Years relevant experience of which 3 years in at managerial level and in water services planning.
Current Registration with ECSA.
Valid Driver's License
Computer literacy

Key performance areas (include but not limited to):
Identify with immediate short and long term objectives or plans in maintenance of synergy between output of the planning section and associated organizational functions.
Controls outcome associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the section.
Prepares Capital and operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocated.
Formulates and or manages the evaluation and review of the water &Sanitation development Plan and designs against critical deliverables as identified in the IDP
Disseminates functional and operating information on the immediate, short and long term objectives and current development problems and constraints.
Coordinates specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with key performance and results indicators of the functionality.

No faxed CV or emailed applications will be accepted. It will be expected of candidates to be available for selection interviews on a date and time as determined by the Municipality. If the candidate/applicant is found canvassing any of the panelists he/she automatically disqualify him/herself. Appointments will be subjected to compulsory pre-employment screening in the form of qualification, references, criminal checks and competency assessment (where applicable). If the candidate has not been contacted within a month after the closing date he/she must accept that his/her application was unsuccessful
