POSITION INFORMATION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare financial analyses and provides recommendations to support Air Group decision making including 3-year metrics reporting, productivity modeling, segment profitability, competitive analysis and industry benchmarking, what-if scenarios, etc
- Work with division controllers and other division leaders throughout company to develop variance reporting and analysis, and monthly forecasts
- Develop and manage models to support company activities, such as labor reports, industry comparisons, cost and revenue forecasts, fuel price scenarios, etc.
- Coordinate monthly closing process for corporate real estate (or other) division(s), including accruals, PO system management, invoice review and research and data entry into relevant support databases/models
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and input as required to support division financial decisions, company presentations, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO ANALYST III/SR
- Serve as mentor to other analysts on the team
- Lead analysis regarding AAG's long term strategic metrics, cost and growth plans
- Work with division controllers and other divisions throughout the company to develop annual operating budgets that help achieve AAG long term strategic goals
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or demonstrable relevant experience required
- Degree in finance, accounting or economics preferred
- MBA and/or Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of two years proven analytical experience and understanding of analytical processes required
- Knowledge of airline fundamentals and economics preferred
- Knowledge of / experience with net present value, ROIC and related calculations, cash flow identification and activity based costing or cost and revenue allocations required
- Confidence with MS Excel and databases in general, including experience with a variety of Excel?s math functions, pivot tables, and some general exposure to query language required
- Understanding of the general ledger and accounting fundamentals preferred
- Direct experience with PeopleSoft or similar, well-known general ledger system a plus
- Must be able to work well with others and as part of a team
- Must have the ability to clearly communicate (verbally/written/presentation) to individuals at all levels of the company
- Must be a self starter who takes initiative and is able to set priorities consistent with department goals and work independently
- Minimum age of 18
- Must be authorized to work in the U. S.
