POSITION INFORMATION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that accounting policies and procedures are appropriate and followed
- Identify, research and assist in recommending solutions to accounting issues
- Review multiple element arrangements to ensure revenue is being recognized in according with US GAAP
- Record journal entries for mileage plan on a monthly basis
- Provide efficient and accurate reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Perform variance analysis for fluctuations of mileage plan accounts compared to plan and period over period changes in income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Assist in financial reporting matters, such as quarterly or annual external financial reports
- Test internal controls that have an impact on mileage plan accounting and perform a risk analysis of potential customer fraud
- Other duties as assigned

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO SENIOR ANALYST
- Able to independently manipulate data sources to create actionable analysis and/or reports
- Identify, recommend, and implement reporting improvements
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives
- Serve as mentor to other accountants
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience required
- CPA license or exam eligibility preferred
- Minimum of two years of accounting experience required, four years preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a Big 4 public accounting firm or other national firm preferred
- Experience with Webfilings and XBRL preferred
- Experience with PeopleSoft preferred
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of accounting procedures and a strong understanding of GAAP required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with people at varying levels in the company required
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize and complete projects within deadlines required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs required
- Must enjoy working as part of a team and sharing knowledge for the continued quality improvement of the marketing and finance divisions
- Advanced MS Office skills with an emphasis on MS Excel required
- Minimum age of 18
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
