POSITION INFORMATION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the station passenger service operations and employees
- Administer customer service functions at the station, including ticketing, de-planing, enplaning, flight control functions and baggage handling, in a manner to ensure compliance with company service standards
- Manage work group to meet pre-established on-time, productivity and compliance goals
- Manage work group to meet pre-established minimum accepted performance goals
- Prepare necessary plans, budgets and schedules
- Supervise, train and develop station supervisor staff
- Supervise labor contract administration
- Review schedule changes and provide input to planning department
- Implement any procedural or process changes as it relates to customer service
- Measure and report performance to the general manager
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all regulations of federal, state and local airport authorities
- Other duties as assigned
- Embody the Alaska Spirit and conduct oneself with professionalism, integrity, resourcefulness and caring
QUALIFICATIONS
- A college degree is preferred
- 5 years station experience with proven skills in passenger service, station operations including personnel administration, scheduling shift work, administering bargaining unit employees and budget controls required
- 2 years experience working with labor unions required
- Experience with managing a budget
- Proficient using MS Office Suite and knowledge of Sabre/Image
- Knowledge of Alaska Airlines System Regulations and FAA policies and procedures preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Analytical with ability to problem solve
- Willingness and ability to instruct and train
- Strong decision making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in addition to strong presentation skills
- Proven ability to motivate employees and improve and enhance group dynamics
- Proven ability to use tact in communicating with others and able to constructively resolve problems
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
