Job Description – Our client is currently seeking an experienced Safety Engineer/Supervisor to join their HSE team, who’s primary focus is relating to safety engineering, environment protection, loss prevention, risk assessment, fire protection, road safety, explosion analysis and consequence modelling.
The Successful Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:
Identifying and assessing potential hazards and accidents, monitoring safety/environment standards and compliance with regulations and develop and maintaining the HSE policy when required.
To analyse existing facilities, perform air water and land pollution source sampling, assist in developing and implementing inspection programs. (The majority of work is focused on sampling, analysing and monitoring).
HSE engineering staff at this level are expected to be fully qualified in their discipline and require only reasonable supervision to perform assigned responsibilities.
Candidate Requirements –
As the successful candidate you will have achieved a minimum of a university degree in an engineering or equivalent discipline.
Have 4/5 years of Safety and/or Environment Protection experience in an oil/gas process industries setup.
Be confident to progress with day to day tasks with minimal supervision and have the ability to constantly prioritise based on risk and cost benefit.
