Job Title: Safety Engineer

Our Client - An established leading Middle East based National Oil Company with a number of productive oil fields with solid strategies utilising innovative technologies to maximise recovery while minimising cost now have a requirement to identify and attract new external talent to their organisation due to the current and future workload.

Job Description –

HSE engineering staff at this level are expected to be fully qualified in their discipline and require only reasonable supervision to perform assigned responsibilities. A university degree in an engineering or equivalent discipline is required together with 4-5 years experience in the Safety and/or Environment Protection in an oil/gas process industries setup. Knowledgeable of computer systems and applications.
Incumbent carries out responsible, varied assignments requiring general knowledge of HSE engineering. Problems solved using a combination of standard procedures or modifications thereof. More complex work projects will be referred to more senior authorities for guidance. Work is reviewed regularly by more senior professionals. May give periodic technical guidance to staff assigned to work on a common project.
Majority of work is focused on sampling, analysing and monitoring. The incumbent is the Company resource on issues relating to safety engineering, environment protection, loss prevention, risk assessment, fire protection, road safety, explosion analysis and consequence modeling. Setting priorities based on risk and cost benefit is an on-going challenge.
Identify and assess potential hazards, accidents, and emergency situations associated with ADCO operations.
Participate, develop and maintains the ADCO HSE policy which establishes the Company’s key objectives in the field of Environment, Health and Safety performance.
Analyze existing facilities, perform air water and land pollution source sampling, assist in developing and implementing inspection programs.
Monitor safety/environment standards and compliance with regulations.
Safety Engineer/Supervisor.
Environment Protection Engineer/Supervisor.

Candidate Requirements –

A university degree in an engineering or equivalent discipline is required together with 4-5 years experience in the Safety and/or Environment Protection in an oil/gas process industries setup.
Knowledgeable of computer systems and applications.
