Job Summary:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of a Shift Supervisor at Impumelelo 50km from Secunda and 15km from Greylingstad near Greylingstad. The successful candidate will report to the Mine Overseer
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the safe and efficient execution of shaft sinking in compliance with all legal requirements.
• Supervision of direct subordinates, inclusive of time management and discipline.
• Achievement of monthly targets, cost control and the initiation of production planning sessions
• Develop and implement continuous improvement techniques to enhance production functionality.
• Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
Key Requirements:
• Previous working experience as a Shift Supervisor
• Previous supervisory experience
• Ability to develop positive working relations
• Good shaft sinking background (at least 2 years)
• Knowledge of assessing shift priorities and effective assignment of work
• Good communication skills in English, and at least one of the other official languages
Education:
• Matric Certificate
• Blasting Certificate
• Shift Supervisor Certificate
