Job Brief:
STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the development of the strategy for the Learning and Development (L&D) function, in conjunction with the Group L&D Manager, ensuring alignment to the objectives and strategy of the organization.
Develop and implement training strategy for leadership development programs in conjunction with Group L&D manager, ensuring alignment with the Group leadership model.
Monitor the effectiveness of the leadership programs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Work on the Leadership Development budget requirements and provide the inputs to the Group L&D Manager, and accordingly optimize expenses of the Learning and Development function in line with the operating budget.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement the process for training needs identification and ensure these inputs are utilized to draw up priorities for leadership and management training initiatives.
Identify appropriate programs, external partner, design, develop or customize content for the International Leadership Management (ILM) Centre
Establish the ILM centre in alignment with Corporate L&D policies and ensure its smooth functioning on a day to day basis.
Partner with Management, Unit HR and external Consultants/ Vendors to develop and enhance Management and Leadership training in line with business needs to create a holistic learning model.
Identify and select external training providers, training programs and material in line with business needs, the Group Leadership model and corporate learning and development policies.
Develop Management and Leadership training programs, delivered both internally and externally and ensure it is aligned with the identified training needs and budget requirements.
Organize quality and cost effective training and ensure effective and timely administration of the training programs.
Participate in the delivery of training programs to keep updated with own skills as a trainer and facilitator.
Monitor feedback from employees and Group management, on the effectiveness of the learning and development programs offered.
Implement methods to assess training effectiveness and to gauge post-training application in conjunction with Business and Unit HR
Ensure appropriate data collation through relevant training tools to aid in decision making and future planning for Management & Leadership development.
Manage and sustain value-driven partnerships with external training providers based on integrity, results, timeliness, and accuracy.
Provide periodic reports reflecting the training activities and recommend solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
Remain abreast with market trends relating to developments in the field of Leadership and Management Development and recommend suitable approaches that can be adapted in the Company.
Contribute to the creation and reinforcement of a learning culture by continually promoting training and development benefits and initiating projects/tools that stimulate and reward passion and commitment to learning/ professional growth.
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.
Person Specification:
Education/ Qualification
Graduate in any discipline
Qualification in Training/Human Resources.
ILM / Coaching certified/ equivalent certification
Experience
5 to 7 years relevant experience, with at least 2-3 years in Senior Leadership Development programs.
Coaching experience would be an advantage
Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge
Exposure to dealing with learning institutes/accreditation bodies, etc.
Knowledge and exposure to Senior Management certification programs
Excellent Presentation, Communication and Interpersonal skills
Computer proficient
Experience in various aspects of training – planning, designing, delivery and administration
Experience in translating organizational needs into learning experiences.
Keeps abreast of development in training tools and learning aids, and has a strong understanding of learning management systems.
