The Import-Export Administrator is responsible for developing and implementing logistics plan and budget for division through analysis of customer requirements, freight costs, and international freight laws.

Qualifications / Education / Experience

Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met.
Serves as liaison between customer and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge; provides complex data analysis for logistics planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts.
Periodic review and update of related Import/Export procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Reports on budgets, and cost trends. Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Interacts with vendors and peers in Operations, Supply Chain, Account Management, Finance and Product Development to optimize systems and procedures.
Audits freight bills (both domestic and international) utilizing copies of carrier contracts.
Site level training as it relates to Import/Export requirements.
Audits shipping documents to include import/export documentation for accuracy and maintains for record keeping compliance.
Develops, implements and maintains ERP system parts master with ECCN, HTSUS and COO classifications.
Identifies and updates teams regarding changes and revisions in the HTSUS and customs regulations.
Maintains and enforces BEI routing guide.
Periodically reviews carrier performance.
Works with carriers to obtain specific shipping rate quotes on new or quoted customer programs.
Identifies best freight paths based on cost, efficiency and effectiveness, and provide communication to customer teams.
-Ideal candidates would possess 5 or more years of domestic and international transportation experience. -Customs Broker license is preferred.
