POSITION INFORMATION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Participate as an integral member of the instructional system design team and assist in developing, coordinating, testing, and implementing modifications to the training program and qualification standards.
-Participate in multi-divisional data analysis, risk assessment, and integration activities in support of the Advanced Qualification Program (AQP), Quality Management Board, Safety Management System, Fleet, and Flight Standards.
-Manage all data collection, analysis and reporting activities related to pilot training in order to validate the effectiveness of the program, establish and ensure satisfactory levels of flight crew and instructor/evaluator performance, identify risk, and suggest possible modifications to mitigate risk.
-Determine and implement the best data analysis, measurement and reporting methods that will drive continuous improvement of the training program, enhance the safety of line operations and increase efficiency; while at the same time complying with all internal and external (FAA) reporting requirements.
-Manage the business administration of the Flight Training Management System user applications and related systems in coordination with the IT development team and users.
-Direct and coordinate testing and implementation of FTMS design modifications with associated work groups as well as IT.
-Evaluate user input, provide subject matter expertise and suggestions; and make design decisions that ensure regulatory compliance, drive innovation, increase efficiency, and support the customer. Ensure changes are properly scoped, coordinated, and tested prior to implementation in the production environment.
-Analyze complex data sets and synthesize the results into meaningful presentations for various levels within and outside the organization.
-Collaborate with division leadership regarding data trends and risk mitigation strategies.
-Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field strongly preferred
- Minimum 4 years experience in data analysis, trending, and report generation required
- Minimum 2 years experience coordinating or managing training systems and interfaces (or equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years experience querying relational databases using data mining tools (Hyperion/BRIO or similar) required
- Airline Transport Pilot or Aircraft Dispatcher certificate and 121 airline experience preferred.
- Pilot training related experience, preferably in an Advanced Qualification Program preferred
- Knowledge of FAA voluntary safety programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA) preferred
- Knowledge of 14 CFR 61, 91, 121, including Subpart Y (Advanced Qualification Program) preferred
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills required
- Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office tools (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required
- Ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the corporation required.
- Ability to summarize and report analysis results using uncomplicated terms required.
- Ability and creativity to use Microsoft Office tools to build compelling presentations required
- Detail oriented along with the ability to produce accurate and timely results required
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction or as a team member for group projects required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum age of 18
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
