Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for building the Maple Leaf Food service business with National and Regional Restaurant Chain Accounts. This includes working closely with our customers, our marketing/supply chain/finance and customer service departments and the Western Canadian Chains Sales Manager and Food service Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Ensure customer profit and sales targets are achieved
•Assist in creating, developing and executing selling strategy and being able to educate and communicate internally
•Develop and Enhance Relationships with Customers, including that at senior level.
•Frequent Selling Contact with Customers
•Work with Customer to Develop and Implement Sales and Marketing Programs
•Conduct Regular Business Reviews and Innovation Sessions
•Manage Trade Merchandising Accounts
•Execute Corporate Marketing Initiatives
•Develop and maintain consistent communication with all key support functions (marketing, supply chain, finance, customer service

POSITION OUTCOMES:

The incumbent will develop strong relationships with National and Regional Chain restaurant accounts. There will be specific objectives (i.e. Volume Growth, Profitability Growth, Trade Spend, Customer Innovation Sessions) that need to be met. The incumbent will be accountable to drive improved execution that leads to more profitable results.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA

Education: University degree

Experience: Key understanding and experience within the food service industry including a successful track record of superior customer relations with National and Regional Restaurant Chains in British Columbia.

Computer Skills:Highly proficient computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word Outlook). Experience with SAP an asset.

Skills:Leadership skills, strategic, team player, resourceful, excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, analytical, pro-active with excellent planning and organizational skills, strong understanding of category management, AND culinary background.

Personal Traits: Integrity, passionate about business, detail and results-oriented, responsive, sense of urgency, strives for excellence, decisive, entrepreneurial, embraces change and autonomy.
