Annual Salary Package (inc. Medical Aid rate based on principal + spouse + 1 dependant)
Gr 6: R515 900 - R681 900

Preamble
Minimum Requirements:
A relevant Masters degree
Track record in leading commercialization of innovation from early stage technologies through a successful enterprising venture, via either licensing, spin out company or partnering with external companies
Ability to lead incubation, start ups and generate funding for innovation
Knowledge of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer

Recommendations:
A Master of Business Administration and/or a relevant Doctoral degree
Science and/or Engineering and legal and contract knowledge and experience
University Technology Transfer Office experience
Accomplished Business Manager
Teaching and Research experience

Key Performance Areas:
Develop commercialization activities in a leading University of Technology
Generate innovation funding and turn IP into successful enterprise
Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Identification of new commercial projects and do due diligence reports and business plans
Create and run an incubator(s)
Management and expansion of existing spin out companies and formation of new ones
Developing external networks of potential licencees and investment partners, market research
Deal with legal contracts
