Purpose of Role:
Responsible for a producing a comprehensive technical specification that includes non-functional requirements
Assist the BA to ensure that the functional design offers a technical viable solution and address the business requirements
Design test plans and provide guidelines to facilitate performance and stress testing
Continuous business and industry research to guide the critical evaluation of architectural and design patterns & principles

Requirements:
Grade 12
A relevant 3 year degree / diploma in IT or relevant experience
Post-graduate degree / diploma in IT would be advantageous
At least 2 - 7 years’ experience in systems architecture / design
Basic project management experience
Detailed knowledge of the following is required:
System architecture (technical design and implementation processes)
Systems Analysis and Design
UML or equivalent modelling language
Technical Test Plan Design
IT systems development processes
Application development
Standards and governance
Best practices for Quality Assurance (QA)
Object Orientated Development environment (i.e. Java, Spring Framework, JBoss)
Detailed knowledge of the following is preferred:
Banking systems
Agile development life cycle
Knowledge of UML
Communication skills (written and verbal)
Interpersonal and Relationship building skills
Negotiation and influencing skills
Facilitation and presentation skills
Analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
