Description:
An opportunity within one of the government department is looking for a Training Specialist to join their team. The successful incumbent will be based in Centurion for the duration of the contract.

Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree: Learning and Development
- Experience in training at large IT systems development projects
- Knowledge of designing training and related materials for a new information technology tool
- Knowledge of training related standard operating practices

Responsibilities:
- Provide plan, manage, develop and deliver training for projects with the centre
- Identify and assess training needs of staff within project context by conferring with managers and supervisors or conducting surveys
- Delivers training programs/modules based on training plan requirements and according to a client-driven schedule
- Collaborates with Business Analyst, Technical team and Change Management within a project to obtain information required to develop training materials on all aspects of the product
- Monitor training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded and prepare budget report to justify expenditures
- Select and assign trainers to conduct training
- Builds and deliver train-the-trainer programs
- Ensures new training methodologies incorporated into training approach
- Evaluate training materials prepared by other trainers and external service providers, such as outlines, text and handouts
