The role for Regional Financial Controller is to support the Regional Finance Director. This is a hands-on, varied role and the candidate expected to support reporting, forecast and budgeting in the region as well as maintain robust financial processes and controls necessary for a growing business.

Role Responsibility:

Key Performance Areas:

This role is responsible for assisting the ME Regional Finance Director in leading the finance function throughout the sub region. The Regional Finance Controller will have a strong dotted line relationship with Finance Directors in each business unit. The incumbent is responsible for:

Providing support of the annual budget process and then monitoring monthly financial reports and variances against budgets / forecast for all countries and assist with reporting to the AME Region.
Provide relevant, timely and accurate financial information
Ensure efficient and effective financial transaction processing is in place
Optimising working capital utilisation and maximising cash flow generation;
Provide commercial support through KPI and financial analysis. monitor the delivery of key financial
Maintaining a strong control environment ensuring effective financial, audit and compliance controls are in place in line with Group Finance Policy and Procedures Manual. This is achieved through clear authority matrix, auditing activity (internal and external) and regular performance reviews. The ME Regional Finance Controller s responsible for ensuring compliance with tax law and related regulatory requirements.
Harness new technology to support business improvements in finance processes and/or gain competitive advantage.
Liaison with country managers regarding the monthly revenues and costs
Work with other managers to promote best practices throughout the business.
Educate non-financial managers to understand and interpret their financial results, providing training modules where necessary.


The Ideal Candidate:

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Qualified Accountant with at least five (5) years’ experience managing a Finance function in a substantial business
IT literacy to include Excel/Work and standard accounting packages to minimum intermediate level
Proven ability to inspire and manage teams, both directly and through a matrix management structure
Strong financial skills and a commercially astute negotiator. An ability to influence others at a senior level
Highly numerate and comfortable with quantitative analysis with a strong attention to detail
Fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills, while Arabic skills, both written and verbal, are highly desirable.
Highly organised with an excellent ability to plan ahead and manage complexity and multiple projects under pressure
Strong creative problem solving skills.
Strong performance manager with drive and enthusiasm to succeed as part of a team and deliver outstanding results. An ability to motivate others to be successful
A team player with a willingness to operate in a spirit of partnership and collaboration
