Job description:
The Incumbent will be responsible for the following: Install and maintain database objects per change request system. Maintain DB2 schemas, tables, procedures and permissions. Monitor databases and database jobs on a daily basis. Monitor database performance and errors on a daily basis. Understand applications supported and interaction of DB2 with other application components. Analyze and sustain capacity and performance for responsible areas. Analyze and tune databases. Analyze and tune application queries and stored procedures. Understand and implement DB2 replication. Participate in application code reviews make suggestions based on DB2 knowledge. Restore, rebuild and recover data base environments. Install and test upgrades and patches. Provide off-hours support for critical situations, releases, and upgrades. Create and maintain shell scripts for task automation. Evaluate and recommend new database technologies. Maintain good working knowledge of DB2, SQL, and AIX.

Required:
Associate's Degree/College Diploma
At least 4 years experience in Install and maintain database objects per change request system
At least 4 years experience in working knowledge of DB2, SQL, and AIX. Restore, rebuild and recover data base environments
At least 4 years experience in Understand and implement DB2 replication, Install and test upgrades and patches
English: Fluent

Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 6 years experience in Install and maintain database objects per change request system
At least 6 years experience in working knowledge of DB2, SQL, and AIX. Restore, rebuild and recover data base environments
At least 6 years experience in Understand and implement DB2 replication, Install and test upgrades and patches
