Description:
The Staffing Services team of Human Capital Management, a division of Gijima is currently recruiting for an Analyst Programmer for one of their clients, a reputable Financial Institution. This is a contract position based in Constantia Kloof, where the right candidate will be required to be on standby every second week.
PRIME PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:
Provide support to MSDS applications focusing specifically on Xenomorph and Alacra which are both running on Windows platforms.
As a member of the MSDS team, responsibilities will include:
Run The Bank Support: *Participation in overnight support rota. *Telephone and email support *Improving the support model via improved documentation and process *Proactively monitoring the production environment for capacity management risks and issues *Improving the robustness of existing production code *Proactively engaging with project staff to ensure a smooth transition of deliveries into the production environment *Assisting with the upgrade of the hardware and software estate where necessary *Run The Bank Change *Developing minor enhancements against Xenomorph and Alacra to further to meet the requirements of run the bank user base. *Performing requirements analysis on business specifications *Producing technical specifications *Delivering technical solutions using Xenomorph and Alacra using Microsoft products. *Use of Microsoft Reporting Services to develop end user reports for the ASP.Net portal *Implementation of middleware data feeds. *Introduce automated IT processes for regression testing, releasing new code etc. *Analyse system architecture and implement changes as the system grows in size *Building tools & utilities to automate development tasks *Pro-actively responding to the demands, challenges of Business, prioritising the solutions/demands and managing expectations of users/customers. *Provide analysis and design of new tactical solutions, following development standards and best practises. *Identifying and communicating issues and risks to manager as appropriate in a timely manner. *Share knowledge and participate as a team member within Risk Technology IT team. *System Integration Testing for projects in the bank that impact the Risk Technology IT area. *Gain knowledge around Risk Technology systems to understand the business processes and flows involved. *Willingness to learn new technologies and systems to meet the banks reference and market data requirements.
