AKHST is seeking to recruit qualified community outreach supervisors, Community Health Coordinator and Data Manager for joining hands initiative (JHI) project to improve maternal, New Born and Child Health (MNCH) in five Target Regions In Tanzania. Through strengthening " Community Based And Quality MNCH Services, Capacity Building at Primary Health Care Level and Strengthening the Link with the referral services, the Project will work towards addressing the key barriers to MNCH that are primarily responsible for causing poor health outcomes for women of reproductive age and children under five years in Tanzania. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Excellent interpersonal & communications skills are essential with fluency in both Kiswahili and English languages preferred. Key Responsibilities
The Community Health Coordinator (CHC) will be responsible for the overall Reproductive Health Activities of the
project including Community Based Health Care and behavior change coordination (BCC) activities of the project in the rural districts. He/she will coordinate-the community based outreach and health camps and will participate in the selection and capacity building of CHWs and work with community health committees and health facilities.
Academic/Education Qualification, Knowledge & Experience
Degree in Public health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project management or equivalent qualifications from recognized University; Masters degree in Public Health Management will be an added advantage; 3-5 years experience in community management training and development, monitoring and evaluation and good leadership skills, ideally in a clinical setting.
