In this role, you'll be responsible for checking-in passengers, guiding customers through the ticketing & reservations process, directing them to their gate and helping to ensure their bags meet them when they arrive.

At Delta Air Lines, our number one focus is to enhance all aspects of each customer's travel experience. Working the front lines at the airport, you'll be central to demonstrating that Delta understands the demands of air travel and is out to make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Candidate practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Do you have what it takes to help us change how passengers feel about flying these days, particularly before they get on the plane? If you are team-oriented, like to interact with others, love to provide great customer service and can work flexible hours to help us meet our operational needs, you would be a great addition to the Delta team!

As part of our Seasonal - Ready Reserve, you will be scheduled to work 40 hours per week between May 1 - August 31. At the conclusion of the summer employment, your status with Delta will be inactive until the following season or depending on additional business needs. There is no guarantee of permanent employment, but you will have the opportunity to bid on a permanent position should one become available. The benefits will include flight privileges.

To qualify for this position, you must:

Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Have a valid driver's license
Be at least 18 years of age
Have the ability to pass an extensive background check and drug test
Have the ability to lift at least 70 lbs
Be authorized to work in the US
Have the ability to read, write and speak English
Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

• The Customer Service Representative will be the single point of contact for assigned customers.
• Provide quotes, and technical assistance using various resources for all products represented by P&H MinePro Services.
• Attend sales meetings in house and at customer locations. Regularly travel independently to assigned customers sites to assist them in their parts planning process.
• Process customer orders and consult customers on added value.
• Work with planners to maintain proper inventory levels and purchase inventory items as required.
• Assist account managers and regional sales manager on projects such as equipment rebuilds and marketing strategies.
• Track customer orders to achieve established inventory metrics.
• Provide account managers with various data from business management system (SAP).
• Support expedition of orders to meet customer expectations including support of the warehouse operation.
• Provide “On-Call” support up to every other week frequency.
• Regularly operate a powered industrial vehicle, such as a forklift, in a safe manner to support general warehouse operations.
Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills, MS Excel and MS Word skills.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret assembly drawings.
• Must have and be able to maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with Company vehicle operation policy.
• Experience working within the mining industry, industrial or industrial supply environment is preferred.

POSITION INFORMATION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for assisting customers with travel needs such as answering inquiries, ticketing, checking-in passengers, and boarding flights in a fast-paced environment
- Sell tickets and ensure cabin accommodations
- Perform computer and paperwork tasks
- Evaluate and prepare flights by arranging seat assignments and load, coordinate special meals, and upgrades
- Perform boarding and gate duties, such as checking flight tickets, assisting and directing passengers, making announcements, checking aircraft, and confirming cabin security
- Processing and securing passenger luggage
- May be assigned to perform duties in varying capacities, at the direction of management to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned
- Embody the Alaska Spirit and conducts oneself with Professionalism, Integrity, Resourcefulness, and Caring

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Two years of customer service or community service experience required
- Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills
- Type at least 25 WPM required
- Flexible to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays required
- Able to participate in paid training required
- Able to accept a starting pay of $11.04 per hour required
- Able to learn and operate a computerized reservation system
- Able to adapt to performing work according to set procedures
- Able to anticipate needs of others in a fast paced environment
